Lawn-Care and Maintenance
CSL takes pride in all of its work, and Lawn-Care is no exception. You can depend on us to be there each week. You will be given a scheduled day, and we will be there on that day every week (inclement weather may affect the schedule). You do not need to be home. Our crew will cut and trim your lawn weekly and edge it every other week.
Our crews are trained to cut your lawn in the best and most efficient ways. Our equipment is kept in excellent condition. Our lawn mower blades are sharpened daily and changed often. The height of the cut is adjusted as necessary throughout the season. All of this is done to assure you of a clean-cut and manicured look.
Mowing Season and Info.
The mowing season begins the week of April 10th and ends in December. When the season begins, we use a mowing height of 2 1/2 inches. For the warmest part of the season, the height is raised to 3 – 3 1/2 inches. Mowing and trimming are done weekly unless weather conditions do not permit. When the weather interferes with our mowing and trimming services, Saturdays are used as makeup days.

Bush Trimming
Keep your landscaping looking beautiful all year round with consistent bush trimming by College Students Landscaping. We maintain all types of bushes and small trees.
Our bush trimming division starts work after the first growth and continues on through the end of December.

Lawn Dethatching and Aeration (Power Raking)
Power Raking (Dethatching):
Recommended to help reduce thatch build-up and promote a more healthy and dense turf. Our crews will dethatch your lawn with a power rake machine, and rake up (by hand) the piles of thatch and haul them away.
Core Aeration:
Recommended every year. Aids in soil penetration of air, water, and fertilizer. It reduces compaction and stimulates new root growth. Core aeration is the process of removing up to 3" long, narrow plugs of soil and thatch from the turfgrass using an aerator machine. This machine has a round cylinder with steel tines that pull out the plugs and deposit them onto the lawn. The plugs are beneficial when they are left alone because they act as a top dressing and are dissolved through rain and mowing. The benefits of this service are to remove thatch, aid in supplying air and oxygen to the root zone, and break up compacted soil to aid in increased root growth and thicker turf.
